When people think of Gaffney, they often think of a small community with little or nothing to do; however, Gaffney and Cherokee County – in spite of their size – have much to offer individuals who are hurting and homeless.
Miracle Hill Rescue Mission – Cherokee County has been serving the community since November 2000 and reaches out to the homeless population. Every year over 250 different men, women and children find refuge from the cruel elements of homelessness and are able to experience a safe environment, a warm comfortable bed, clothing, food, and compassion to help them on their journey from homelessness to hope.
A compassionate, godly counselor helps guide each client to find the community resources to help them toward physical, mental and spiritual wholeness as well as employment, education or addiction recovery. The clients are encouraged to think through their present plight and set goals that include measureable steps to help them make progress in their lives – both physically and spiritually.
Miracle Hill Rescue Mission – Cherokee County is like a harbor where clients wrestling with the raging waves of life can find a new hope and a future.
