Children are our society’s most precious—and vulnerable—people. We have a responsibility to love, protect, and nurture them.
Miracle Hill Children’s Ministries
Providing Shelter. Enriching Lives.
Miracle Hill directly answers God’s call in James 1:27, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…”
Through our Boys’ Shelter, foster care program, and Miracle Hill Children’s Home foster care community, Miracle Hill Ministries helps children who have no place to go—either for a short time or a long time. We help children navigate challenges in their lives by showing them that they are deeply loved. Using a Christian framework for all that we do empowers us to love these children like Christ loves us: endlessly and unconditionally. And when children see just how deeply they are loved by others and by God, it helps them to know peace in even the darkest of times.
The Impact of Our Children's Ministries
Miracle Hill’s Youth Homes
Giving Children Compassion, Structure, and Unconditional Love
Miracle Hill Ministries operates the Miracle Hill Children’s Home Foster Home Community located in Pickens County and the Miracle Hill Boys’ Shelter for boys and young men ages 11 to 21.
The children in our care may have parents struggling with addiction. They may have been abused. They may have never known a stable home. We aim to provide children and young adults with the love, support, and space they need to grow emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
What to Expect
At a Miracle Hill Youth Home
We try to make the transition to the Boys’ Shelter as easy and normal as possible. These children and young adults might come to us feeling scared or alone in the midst of everything going on in their lives, so we do everything in our power to make the home a place where they feel peace, love, and stability.
Life in a Miracle Hill youth home is pretty much what you would expect from any traditional home environment. Children wake up in the morning, eat breakfast, do their morning chores, and get ready to go to school.
When children return home from school, they do their homework and then get to play outside or inside until dinner time, where everyone shares time together, prays together, and eats together. After dinner, children take care of any evening chores before they can relax by playing games, reading, or watching a movie. We end the day with devotions before heading to bed.
Like in a traditional home environment, no two days are alike. We have teenagers going back and forth to work, kids who must be taken to doctors appointments, and others who need to be carted to and from football or volleyball practice. At the end of the day, different life situations aside, we consider ourselves a big, happy—albeit nontraditional—family.

Miracle Hill’s Foster Care Program
Equipping Foster Parents With the Tools They Need
The Miracle Hill Ministries foster care program is designed to serve children in need by both equipping foster parents with tools to provide the best homes possible, and by helping place children into loving and supportive Christian homes.
We recruit Christian foster parents and provide them with support throughout licensing, placement, and beyond. We develop genuine relationships with our foster parents, praying with them as they navigate the often challenging waters of fostering.
