As events have continued to unfold in our nation and in our own Upstate community surrounding the Covid-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, we have, with much deliberation and prayer, made the difficult decision to cancel our March 17th Annual Fundraising Banquet.
Although this is our largest fundraiser of the year – raising nearly $500,000 last year – in a move to be good stewards of the health and safety of everyone involved, we believe cancelling is the best course of action.
As a replacement for the banquet, we will be launching a “Darkness to Light” fundraising campaign in the coming days via email and mail that will highlight some of the lives being restored at Miracle Hill as well as give you an opportunity to support the ministry. This decision was not one that we reached lightly. We trust that the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills will provide for His ministry here, and for the 600+ children, women and men that we are privileged to serve daily, with or without a physical banquet. (Ps. 50:10-11)
We pray that you will allow the Lord to use your investment to continue Christ’s life-transforming work in our homeless shelters, addiction recovery centers, foster care program and food relief ministry.
Please be on the lookout through mail, email and social media, and prayerfully consider how the Lord may be calling you to partner with us financially. If you would like to make a donation now, we would be honored to receive your support. You can give online by clicking on the following link:
It is our great privilege to serve hurting and broken people here in the upstate of SC, daily, at Miracle Hill. Tonight, a child, woman or man will lay their head on a pillow at one of our 8 shelters or in a MH foster home, perhaps for the first time, knowing they are loved by Jesus. Jesus illuminates the darkness. The enemy cannot snuff Him out.
“Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’” (John 8:12)
God has sustained Miracle Hill Ministries for the past 83 years, and we trust He will continue to sustain this good work of caring for “the least of these.”
Thank you for your understanding and support. May God bless, strengthen and protect you in the days ahead.
