Thanksgiving at the Overcomer Center

By November 18, 2013January 26th, 2023No Comments

Thanksgiving at the Overcomer Center is a wonderful time of coming together –  a time in which our clients, their families, the Overcomer staff, and our volunteers come together as a body of Christ to give thanks to God for what he is doing in our lives.

This year Thanksgiving, for a large portion of our clients, will be the first holiday spent with family and with people (staff and volunteers) that truly care about them. It is a day God can use to start the healing process in lives that have been riddled with the pains of addiction.

Since the Overcomer Center opened, it is amazing the amount of food God provides for this occasion. In the three years since, an average of over 300 people have enjoyed their Thanksgiving dinner here at the Overcomer Center. As always dinner is served at noon, so come on by and give thanks with us.

Conversations on a Bench
January 22 from 3:00pm to January 23 at 3:00pm

Can you imagine being homeless in this frigid weather? For 24 hours straight, our CEO will sit on a bench, outside, with no provisions, engaging in conversations about homelessness and related topics with anyone who wants to talk, while live streaming to the internet.

Bring your questions or comments and join Ryan in person, or by livestream. And be sure to like, comment and share to help us spread the word about homelessness.
