What is homelessness?

How does someone become homeless? What happens to someone when they become homeless? What does a person experiencing homelessness need?
This section of Backyard Missions will answer those questions and give your family a basic understanding of homelessness. This section is divided into two parts: Part 1 will discuss the causes of homelessness and part 2 will discuss the challenges of homelessness.

Parents, before watching the video below, print the Tutorial Guide to help lead your family conversations about the causes of becoming homeless.  Then, print the Video Worksheet for older children to complete while watching the video. Younger children can use the Coloring Sheet to apply what they have learned.
