Hello Everyone,
I am Larry Donaldson a member of the staff of the Overcomers Center. Here at the Overcomer Center we currently facilitate a 28 week in-patient Christian Adaptation of the 12 steps recovery program offered for those in need and free of charge. We are located here in Greenville on North Pleasantburg Drive approximately 3 miles from downtown Greenville. As we have all come to see being broken is something that we all face coming into this world. Myself personally, I feeling like the humpty- dumpty of recovery here at Miracle Hill and have come to see, that at first glance, many of our clients seem to be broken beyond repair, hopeless without life, yet during the process of recovery, which can even be called sanctification, the Lord softens the sharp broken pieces and begins the loving process of the restoration of his perfect work. With all work, the potter must do the task in stages and sometimes the material is weak and folds under the weight of the pressure of just being, but eventually the Master is able to bring about a wonder, which always surpasses the original piece. We see this transformation here at the Overcomers Center daily one man at a time one heart at a time. Brokenness is a part of life and Our God is faithful that once the process is underway that he doesn’t stop until it is finished in us. All that being said, I have a desire to take of the Lord and watch as he shows the power he possesses to make the bent, straight and the wounded, healed. It is with great pleasure I wake up each day and go into work broken knowing that where I fall short the Lord will fill the gap with another clay figure and we will come through this together sustained by his Grace.
The Overcomers are having their Annual reunion October 8 2011. We are planning on grilling, moderate recreation, Testimonies from Broken men, as well as a dunking booth for the Staff of the Overcomer Center and including other Miracle Hill staffers all the way up to and including Reid Lehman our CEO himself if time permits.
