A Typical Day at Miracle Hill Cherokee County

A typical day at the Mission begins at 6:00 a.m. with a wake-up call followed by breakfast and getting ready for the day. Daily chores, getting dressed, group devotions and off to assigned tasks help each resident get off to a good start.
The Mission is not a place to sit and feel sorry for one’s self, but rather, it is a place where one begins to do productive activities such as volunteering at a local non-profit organization, participating in job search, enrolling in adult education, or performing additional tasks around the Mission.
Following lunch, the afternoon is a little more relaxed and normally a time when new residents become acquainted with the Mission. In the evening, dinner is served followed by chapel. Sometimes the evening meal is provided by the same outside group that provides the evening chapel. These volunteers are willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to make dinner time a special time for the residents.
After evening chapel, lights are out at 9:00 p.m. and everyone is in bed by 11:00. With all the doors locked, each resident has the opportunity to sleep in a safe, clean and comfortable environment. As each resident drifts off to sleep, he or she can look forward to a good night’s rest and a tomorrow filled with a new hope and a future.
